After the show Sting taped his acceptance speech for winning a BPI award (Best British album: ...Nothing Like The Sun) as he couldn't be in London on the day of the BPI ceremony (held at London's Royal Albert Hall on February 8, 1988 and broadcast on Britsh TV).
There was an after show party in a restaurant in Greenwich Village. Suzanne Vega and Dennis Hopper were among the guests.
