Trivia

Around 12:40pm The Police flew from Berlin to Düsseldorf. They arrived around 1:40pm and drove to Dortmund. They stayed at the Parkhotel very close to today's venue.

Support act "A Flock Of Seagulls" had to cancel at the last minute.

The result was that a group of roadies played as the support act on that day only:

• Danny Quatrochi (guitar)
• Kim Turner (bass)
• Steve Arch (vocals) - he was a Tasco lighting technician
• Jeff Seitz (drums)

They played four rock classics in about 15 minutes, one being The Who's "Can't Explain".

There were (only) 8.000 people in the audience.
