Trivia

This was one event from a series of festivals in Germany called BRITISH ROCK MEETING '79. The Police also played in Dortmund on 1979-06-24, but left out other events.

More than 20.000 people attended today's festival. As there were only 18.000 tickets about 2.000 people broke down some barriers and entered the open-air venue for free.

Photos from this gig can be seen in The Police Released on pages 17 top right, 18 top left, 36, 44/45 and 87.

The DVD Everyone Stares: The Police Inside Out shows some clips from this festival.

The Police originally had a concert at Amsterdam's Paradiso scheduled for today, but rescheduled this to 1979-06-22.
