1983-08-18: The Police performed at Shea Stadium in New York. By most popular accounts, it was while playing at Shea Stadium that Sting decided to stop playing with The Police, because this overwhelming event was as far as he felt the band could possibly go.
1984-03-04: The Police performed the last show in their 1983-1984 Synchronicity Tour in Melbourne, Australia. It would be their last performance together as a band until reuniting briefly for the Conspiracy of Hope shows in 1986.
