Dave Harvey was the first roadie The Police had. For a long time it was The Police, Kim Turner and him - and no one else. Right before the January 1980 US leg of the 1979-1980 Reggatta de Blanc Tour Dave accompanied the band equipment on a flight from England to New York, where he was picked up by new guy Jeff Seitz. Dave talked to Danny Quatrochi on the phone - he couldn't do the months of touring, but would fly back to his wife who had just had a baby. The day after his arrival he said some quote-worthy words to Kim Turner at the Iroquois Hotel: "Oym Leevin the Groop" (in a strong Bristol accent). This kept him in the band's memory for a long time - a band / crew pass and t-shirt were created with his photo.

- Andy Summers gets the date and place wrong in One Train Later, while doing the commentary for Everyone Stares: The Police Inside Out Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland first remembered that Danny came AFTER Dave - but are then surprised to see both together in one of the next shots. This might have something to do with the fact that ANOTHER roadie left after the 1979-10-17 concert and went back to England (probably called "John Beale"). Danny Quatrochi started about ten days later... "Doive" left right before the January 1980 US tour, being replaced by Scott.
