- On 1986-06-15, The Police played the last date of Amnesty International's 1986 Conspiracy of Hope Tour at Giants Stadium, E. Rutherford, NJ. After handing off their instruments to members of the band U2, the band walked off the stage - for the last time for 17 years. Andy Summers, Stewart Copeland and Sting would not perform together in public until their induction into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame on 2003-03-10.
