Trivia

For their gigs in New York The Police stayed at the St. Regis Hotel. Sting was interviewed for NME in the limousine on the way to today's concert and later at the Garden.

There were about 20.000 people in the audience at Madison Square Garden. Someone threw a bottle into Stewart Copeland's bass drum during De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da. While the problem was fixed Sting sang The Yellow Rose Of Texas to entertain the audience.

Today A&M promoted the band's efforts with a two page ad in Billboard magazine.
