Recording information
There's a recording with the songs which are mentioned in the setlist.
The VHS British Rock from German director Wolfgang Büld featured a few songs from this concert. The Reggatta de Blanc bit from Can't Stand Losing You plus a fantastic version of The Bed's Too Big Without You.
The Old Grey Whistle Test TV show from November 13, 1979 also broadcast Landlord.
A heavily overdubbed version of Message In A Bottle was used as the b-side for the Message In A Bottle picture shape disc - and later on the Wrapped Around Your Finger 12". The band added a second guitar and completely re-recorded the vocals.
Trivia
This was the first concert that Danny Quatrochi worked for The Police. His first job was to get boxes with shirts and a guitar cabinet from New York to Miami.
A 2nd concert was planned for midnight but was cancelled as only few tickets sold.
After the concert Sting went to a Howard Johnson's in downtown Miami for a meal.
