Trivia
In the morning Sting was interviewed at the poolside of the Hotel Camino Real for Rolling Stone magazine.
Andy Summers was interviewed before the concert in The Police's dressing room in the Presidential Suite. (Stewart Copeland's interview would be done on the next day)
The concert took place in an upper storey of a still unfinished hotel in Mexico City.
Only 1.000 tickets for the 2.000 seats in the Gran Salon were sold to the public. The Police had to agree to the government's terms of a guest list of around 1.000 political figures.
