Trivia
Earlier that day The Police lip-synched "Roxanne" for the Top Of The Pops TV show.
Derek Burbidge filmed The Police's Roxanne video at Fulcrum Centre - using shots taken before (between 4:00PM and 6:00PM) and during the concert using 16mm film.
Outlaw Artists Ltd. promoted this concert - they paid 464 UK pounds to hire the venue from noon to midnight. A&M London was charged a reduced rate of 75 UK pounds for filming The Police today.
The capacity for this concert was 1200 people - unseated except for the bleachers. As altogether 210 tickets were complimentary tickets (100 for the record company) 990 tickets were actually sold. The total box office receipts were 1552,50 UK pounds - after deductions (for box office commission, catering, roadies, advertising and techncal equipment) 791,88 UK pounds went to Outlaw Artists Ltd.
Today Outlandos d'Amour was released in Japan.
