Trivia
Around 12:40pm The Police flew from Berlin to Düsseldorf. They arrived around 1:40pm and drove to Dortmund. They stayed at the Parkhotel very close to today's venue.
Support act A Flock Of Seagulls had to cancel at the last minute.
The result was that a group of roadies played as the support act on that day only:
- Danny Quatrochi (guitar)
- Kim Turner (bass)
- Steve Arch (vocals) - he was a Tasco lighting technician
- Jeff Seitz (drums)
They played four rock classics in about 15 minutes, one being The Who's "Can't Explain".
There were (only) 8.000 people in the audience.
