Biography
Keith Altham worked as a journalist for English music papers and then did public relations work for a lot of bands like The Who, Status Quo, The Rolling Stones and The Police.
While The Rolling Stones toured the USA in the summer of 1978 (June 10 – July 26, 1978) Keith Richards would play the Roxanne 7" all the time (which Andy Summers had sent it to him), so that Keith became aware of The Police. He took them on as clients afterwards - and then continued as Sting's press agent until he was sacked after the release of Ten Summoner's Tales in 1993.
In his book The PR Strikes Back he writes tongue-in-cheek letters to his former clients to tell them what he really thinks of them - one of those letters is to Sting.
