Introduction
This is the equipment Andy Summers used at the 2nd Rockpalast concert in Essen, Germany on 1980-10-18.
Andy's stage gear, 1980/81:
Guitars:
- Fender Telecaster, 1961, with maple neck, brass bridge, built in preamp and Gibson humbucker in the neck position.
- Hamer Standard model, red, with 2 "zebra" humbuckers, probably a 1980 model.
- Roland G-303 guitar with built-in synthesizer controls; as used on "Don't Stand So Close to Me"
Amplifiers:
- two Marshall 100W amplifiers, model 1959
- two Marshall 4x12 cabinets, model 1960A
Effects:
- Echoplex
- Pete Cornish Pedalboard
- Roland Rack with pre-amp and delays
- Roland GR-300
Misc Instruments:
- Minimoog
- Moog Taurus 205A Synthesizer Pedals
- used as a monitor system for Andy's extra stage instruments; two Electro Voice boxes - each with a 15" Electro Voice speaker, a "Mitteltonhorn" and four EV tweeters
