Message In A Bottle was composed with this guitar.
The guitar was also used in the Walking On The Moon, for the The Secret Policeman's Concerts and for the Live Aid concert.
It was the main guitar used for concerts of the 1985-1986 The Dream of the Blue Turtles Tour. There had been no modifications made to this guitar since its 1978 purchase.
On 2017-09-08 Sting donated the guitar to the The National Museum Of American History in Washington, DC, USA.
