The band performed their live set inside studio A during the final days of the 1983-1984 Synchronicity Tour. They were not satisfied with previous live recordings and thought of recreating a live gig in a studio - probably for further use on a live LP. Sting sang minimal vocals with the idea of adding more at a later point.
This recording has been in circulation among fans for ages, but was previously wrongly labelled as Synchronicity rehearsals - either from Scranton, PA or Lititz, PA.
