The Police record Zenyatta Mondatta at Wisseloord Studios in Hilversum, The Netherlands. They also had to rehearse for their upcoming concerts at Milton Keynes and Dublin.
A concert at Amsterdam's Paradiso was planned for today, but cancelled.
As Dutch magazine Hitkrant explains it should have been a surprise concert anyway, but there were health problems and technical problems with the new equipment. When The Police heard that the surprise gig had already been advertised they cancelled the gig.
