Melody Maker mentions lunchtime concerts at this venue for five dates June 19, 20, 26, 27 and July 4) mentioning five bands (Steve Brown Band, Tyneside J.O., Last Exit, Ronnie Young Jazzmen and South Tyneside School Band). The Courier student newspaper from May 19, 1976 precisely lists Last Exit for lunchtime today - so that the 8:00PM Guildhall concert by the Tyneside Jazz Orchestra was also doable.
