Stewart Copeland visits New Orders and then drives to St. John's Wood to deliver records. The Police rehearse - maybe at Sting's place, maybe at Manno's.
On 1977-06-11 Stewart would visit Louie Lepore in hospital and here's Louie Lepore's story from 1977-06-07 continued to show how he got there:
"At around 3:00 am in the morning, which obviously is now June 8th, to keep the timeline in order, there was a loud knocking at the door which woke us up. I went to answer the door, and before I opened it, I noticed a telegram on the floor that someone must have slid under the door while we were sleeping. I picked up the telegram, put it in my pocket and answered the door. It was a Police officer, a “Bobby”! He asked me in a very polite manner if a Jose Esquibel lived here. I said who?, But no. I had no idea who he was talking about! He asked me again, “Are you sure a Jose Esquibel doesn't live here?” And I said no again. But the thing was, he pronounced Jose (the Spanish would sound like Hoe-Zay), like (Joe-Zay), so I was baffled and he said "Ok, thank you", and he left. ... I then went into the front room and peered out the window, to see him still standing outside. He left a few seconds later and than it hit me- Joe-Zay Esquibel is Zecca's birth given name! I only knew him as Zecca! I did know his real name, but the way the Bobby pronounced it, the late hour, ... , the telegram, I was thrown for a loop and he'd already gone before it all hit me and he disappeared into the night! After all that, I read the telegram and it was from Mario who was in NY, telling us to pay £400 back rent! He was kind enough to let us be late, but it was time to pay up! I told Cherry what happened, she said we’d deal with it in the morning, and we went back to sleep.
When I woke up, I felt a terrible pain in the left side of my chest. ... It took four hours for me to get to a hospital. We went to a private doctor who had no idea what it was, so he recommended a hospital in walking distance, which rejected me because they didn't think I was “sick enough”, than to another hospital where a very kind older doctor said to the nurse, “get this man into a bed, it’s a matter of life and death!” You could imagine how I felt when I heard that! This all happened mind you, walking around London for 4 hours before I was admitted!
So to return to the Joe-Zay story, turns out he was on the boat the night of the 7th, for the Sex Pistols party on the Thames, and was one of I think 11 people who got arrested! Turns out, somehow Zecca got in touch with Andrew, our dinner guest who was head of A&R at RCA UK, because Cherry knew him from the Bowie days, and we were hoping to get a record deal with RCA. So, Zecca was released from jail, I was in the hospital for I believe it was 13 days, Cherry eventually signed with RCA, and paid the rent!"
