According to the book Sting: Enquête De Police at the end of April Sting and Hugh Padgham inspect the Studio Guillaume Tell in Paris, France.
"Music Media" from January 26, 1991 mentions that prior to the Paris recordings Sting, Manu Katche, Dominic Miller and Kenny Kirkland rehearsed in New York for a few weeks.
