Trivia

Last Exit were hired as the pit band for the Rock Nativity musical - additional musicians being Derek Lunn (drums) and Iwan Williams (keyboards). They were not credited as Last Exit in the programme or media publicity.

The musical was written by Tony Hatch (music) and David Wood (story). Frances Tomelty was the leading actress.

According to Sting's Broken Music they started rehearsing in mid-October 1974. He also mentions that rehearsals began a few days (?) after one of Last Exit 's gigs (the first one was on 1974-10-17).

The musical ran for six weeks - from the 1974-12-18 press performance to 1975-01-25. The only problem for Sting were Wednesday's matinee shows which collided with his job as a school teacher.

Today's performance was a matinee at 3:00PM - probably followed by a 7:00PM performance.
