Introduction
The first Westfalenhalle was built in 1925 for about 15.000 people. It was destroyed in World War II. The new Westfalenhalle is a complex of one large arena and several smaller halls for all kinds of events: concerts, sports, trade fairs, meetings...
The Police performed here two times, the first time as part of a British Rock festival including Dire Straits, Barclay James Harvest and others. The second time was in 1983.
Sting would later occasionally play at the Westfalenhalle, too.
