Around 10:00am Sting was at the Rainforest Foundation Press Conference at A&M Records in Los Angeles.
This first Rainforest Foundation fundraiser was called "One Night In Brazil" and place at Ted Field's house in Beverly Hills, CA, USA.
Ticket prices ranged from US$ 500 to 5.000.
The event raised more than US$ 1.200.000 for the Rainforest Foundation and the new Environmental Media Association (EMA).
Sting performed onstage together with Don Henley, Bruce Springsteen, Bruce Hornsby, Herbie Hancock, Paul Simon and Branford Marsalis.
Among the Hollywood celebrities at this fundraiser were Kevin Costner, Ted Danson, Jeff Bridges, Don Johnson, Tom Selleck, Michael Ovitz, Peter Guber, Oliver Stone, Chevy Chase, Billy Crystal and Goldie Hawn.
