The Police stayed at a hotel called the Hotel Fort Garry. At the time, Winnipeg's finest. The night of the 26th, Stew and Andy walked down to the bar where there was a long line-up waiting to get in. The young woman working the admission just looked up and told them to take the back of the line. SHE DIDN'T KNOW WHO THEY WERE!!!. Stew and Andy didn't say a thing and turned around and were escorted into the bar via a few back doors.
