Stewart Copeland worked for Record Mirror's special The Police issue (October 4, 1980). He went to see The Associates at the Hope & Anchor - more or less to watch Ronnie Gurr (Record Mirror writer). Then they went to Ronnie's home where Stewart interviewed him.
