Trivia

The three-hour show was sold out.It opened with Sting and his band playing a 45-minute acoustic set.

Then Elton John performed two tunes alone on the piano before Sting joined him for Come Down In Time.

Prior to an intermission, contemporary Brazilian singers Caetano Veloso and Gilberto Gil performed together and separately.

After a brief pause, Sting and Trudie Styler addressed Rainforest Foundation themes.

Antonio Carlos Jobim from Brazil ended the evening. One of his songs features Sting, who sang the Jobim standard How Insensitive.

At the end all performers tried to perform Jobim's best known number: The Girl From Ipanema.

After the show there was a supper at the "Tavern on the Green" in Central Park.
