Production
Footage of Dantalian's Chariot was recorded live in concert - but without sound (to save money, as the movie was done on a tight budget). The sound was added later - a part of the studio track Madman Running Through the Fields and a yet unreleased song called Soliloquy, that was especially recorded for the movie.
Director Fred Marshall remembers that the live footage was filmed at Wembley, while Zoot Money seems to think it was done in Chelmsford. It was probably a concert in the spring of 1968.
The movie's original running time of 98 minutes was trimmed down - due to censors and distributors.
