Producer Rupert Hine went to New York, where [[Sting]] recorded a bass part on his [[1962 Fender Jazz Bass]] and a drum program on his Synclavier. When engineer Stephen Tayler arrived [[Sting]]'s basic track from the Synclavier was transferred to Sony digital 24-track at [[Hip Pocket Recording Studios]].

Sting was the first musician to record something for this project. Producer Rupert Hine went to New York, where Sting recorded a bass part on his 1962 Fender Jazz Bass and a drum program on his Synclavier.
