Biography

Originally from North Carolina, Jeff has established himself as one of New York City's top guitarists. He has toured the world with Sting ("blazing guitar work" - Rolling Stone, "soaring guitar" - USA Today), sharing the stage with bandmates including Branford Marsalis, Mino Cinelu and Kenny Kirkland. From intimate appearances such as CBGB’s, MTV and Saturday Night Live to huge concert settings including London's Wembley Stadium, NYC's Madison Square Garden and Japan's Tokyo Dome, Jeff is an experienced, proven performer. As Sting's guitarist, Jeff was also a member of the Amnesty International's "Human Rights Now!" World Tour (featuring Sting, Peter Gabriel, Bruce Springsteen, Tracy Chapman and Youssou N'Dour). With global concert stops including exotic Africa and India, the Amnesty tour was a "once in a lifetime" experience.....one of the many tour highlights for Jeff was "sitting in" with Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band during a concert in South America.

Closer to home, Jeff had the extreme pleasure of playing guitar with Aretha Franklin (for "VH-1 Divas Live" - an all-star tribute to the Queen of Soul). The "Divas" concert climaxed with a finale that found Jeff grooving on NYC's Radio City Music Hall stage with artists including Mary J Blige, Nelly Furtado and the one and only Stevie Wonder. Other performance credits include Jon Bon Jovi, Michael Bublé, Bob James and Sam Phillips. Grammy-nominated, Jeff has had the opportunity to work with some of the industry's top producers including T Bone Burnett, Phil Ramone and David Foster, as well as legendary engineers Bob Clearmountain and Elliot Scheiner. Session work at NYC’s classic studios includes The Record Plant, Hit Factory, Avatar (fomerly Power Station), Quad, Unique, Sear and many more.

Jeff studied electric guitar at the highly acclaimed University of Miami School of Music. He's currently focusing on producing/writing/engineering (strong ProTools and Logic skills). Raised on a steady diet of Stax, Philly Soul and Southern Rock.... Jeffrey Lee’s feel is the real deal.
