Lyrics

I reached the rendezvous at eight

believed to find I wasn't late

I saw you standing in the shadows

It's hard to tell what happened then

I took you in my arms again

I realized I'd kissed a stranger

Don't you believe me, baby

All that I've said to you is true

Don't you believe me, baby

It's just that she looked the same as you

Still I mistook her for a friend

She must have thought me 'round the bend

I was covered in embarrassment

I made her see I was no punk

No rapist, druggie full of junk

and I was sorry for her harassment

Don't you believe me, baby

All that I've said to you is true

Don't you believe me, baby

It's just that she looked the same as you

A/our hopeful hour SMOKING SOME ?????

Prospective / respective (?) partners had not come

Such disappointment People (?) ....

Nine o'clock had brought the rain?

She walked away to catch her train

I said, Why should this night be wasted

Don't you believe me, baby

All that I've said to you is true

Don't you believe me, baby

It's just that she looked the same as you

Don't you believe me, baby

All that I've said to you is true

Don't you believe me, baby

It's just that she looked the same as you

Looked the same as you

Looked the same as youuuuuuu

(The same as you)

IT HAS ..... FILL IN SOMEONE... ??????????

Everything was going fine

Til you came in and threw the soup at me

I didn't mind the broken arm

The blow has done no lasting harm

I need you here, won't you come back to me

Don't you believe me, baby

All that I've said to you is true

Don't you believe me, baby

(It's) just that she looked the same as you
