Andy Summers leaves Soft Machine (they sack him).
In his book One Train Later Andy mentions that he stayed at the Chelsea Hotel for six weeks until he finally contacted Zoot Money again. He offered Andy to join the Animals, so Andy travelled to California then.
Internet sources mention that their first concert together was on August 4, 1968...
