In May 1975 Curved Air recorded their Midnight Wire album at Island Studios, but their effort was rejected by the record company. These recordings remain unreleased.

Andy Summers and Robert Fripp recorded / mixed songs for their album I Advance Masked at Island Studios (now Sarm West Studios) in 1982.

The Band Aid song Do They Know It's Christmas? was recorded at Sarm West Studios in 1984-11-25.
