Location: | London, England, UK |
Attendees: | The Police, Miles Copeland |
Sting had lent his bass gear to Alternative TV for their 1978-02-07 concert at the 100 Club - which he attended with Stewart Copeland. In Broken Music Sting describes that he got his bass gear back the next day - with the speaker blown. A few weeks later Mark Perry would crash Miles Copeland's van into Sting's parked Citroen in St. John's Wood...
Stewart Copeland gets up at 10:30. He picks up 25 UK pounds at Miles Copeland's place to pay for the rehearsals. Miles tells him that IF A&M will agree to release The Police's LP they will get 25.000 UK pounds (diary entry: "Jesus!"). The Police rehearse at La Starza Palace from 12:00pm to 06:00pm. Stewart spends the rest of the day at home playing a The Police tape for a friend.
