Trivia
The Police play their 2nd set of their first day in New York City around 2:30am.
Later that day Sting will buy a fretless Fender Precision bass at Manny's.
This night a string on his normal fretted Fender bass will break and Sting will play his new fretless bass for the very first time.
(The story of the fretless bass is told in International Musician - July 1979. Here Sting refers to a CBGB's gig in November 1978. But as a photo shows he already played the fretless bass in Toronto 1978. There was no time to buy the bass yesterday, so today seems to be the right date for this purchase...)
