10cc members Eric Stewart and Graham Gouldman opened this recording studio in Dorking, Surrey, in a former cinema. As the original Strawberry Studios North in Stockport was in great demand this 2nd studio was conceived to be used for 10cc recording sessions.

On [[1980-08-17]] (in the middle of their French tour) [[The Police]] flew back to the UK to re-mix their LP [[Zenyatta Mondatta]] at [[Strawberry Studios South]]. Stewart ate a curry meal there and got sick. He couldn't play next day's concert at Biarritz, France.
