Henry Padovani was the original guitarist for The Police, in 1977. He would then go on to perform with a number of other artists including Wayne County & The Electric Chairs before becoming part of IRS Records International Division in the 1980s.

The 1970s

Once in London, Padovani became active in the punk scene and first met Stewart Copeland at the Roxy Club, who invited him to join his newly-forming band, The Police. 1982: The Flying Padovanis split

Onto the Subterraneans; Henry Chris Musto, Glen Matlock ( sex pistols) and critic Nick Kent from The New Musical Express magazine. Nick disappears on their first gig!

Samourai: Pete Farndon, (ex bass from The Pretenders) Topper ( Clash), Mickey Gallagher ( session keyboards with Clash) Steve Allen .

1983: Pete Farndon, died of a Drug overdose. Henry was not going to let this happen with Topper and sent him to rehab. Brings Topper home to his Family in Corsica . .....But Drugs is a terrible habit to brake. The band splits up.

1984 Miles Copeland Asks Henry to join IRS Records, becomes Head of International. The IRS record label launched REM, The Cramps and Lords of the New Church,The Bangles, The Gogos Timbuk 3, The Alarm, Doctor And The Medics, The Felshtones, Wall Of Voodoo, Stan Ridgway , Concrete Blonde and many others.

1993 :Miles Daniel Graeff and Henry create "The songwriters retreat" at Chateau De Marouatte basically they put songwriters into groups and they make songs together. People that have attended; Cher, Brian Adams, Jools Holland, Jeff beck, Stewart Copeland, Chris Difford, Kevin Savigar, Zucchero.........

1994 till 2000 Miles and Henry become managers of Zucchero eight millions albums sold all over the world

1997 Henry becomes manager to I Muvrini

2002 Henry writes about 30 songs, one for the movie " Ici Najac à vous la terre " chooses 12 for the album "À croire que c'était pour la vie (When You Believed It Was Forever )

2003: the movie "La vie comme elle va" ( life as it goes) , premiered on Arte (a European culture T.V.channel ). Music by Henry

2004: Starts recording the album, "À croire que c'était pour la vie (When You Believed It Was Forever )"… with Serge Veneruso and Yves Aouizeratte with Manu Katché on drums, Glen Matlock on bass ( sex pistols) , Chris Musto on drums ( The Flying Padovanis, Johnny Thunders, Joe Strummer….) Steve Hunter on guitar ( Lou Reed , Alice Cooper, Peter Gabriel etc…) , Henry calls Stewart Copeland to play drums on "Welcome Home" Stewart asks Henry if he has asked Sting to play bass. Henry gives his friend Sting a call, and the rest is Police reunion history.

2005: Henry finishes the recording of the album "À croire que c'était pour la vie (When You Believed It Was Forever"). Henry finishes writing the musical adventures, of his past and present, which now constitute the book "Secret Police Man", French publisher Flammarion. Collaborates on the production of a road movie directed by Jean Henri Meunier illustrating the 15 songs from his album
