At his London flat Andy Summers jams with Robert Wyatt (Soft Machine's drummer / singer), Hugh Hopper (Soft Machine's roadie) and Brian Hopper.
It is decided that Andy joins Soft Machine for their upcoming US tour.
Andy is going to rehearse with Robert Wyatta, Kevin Ayers (bass) and Mike Ratledge (keyboards) at Graveney and Canterbury.
