Introduction

Sting bought the Fender Fretless Precision on 1978-10-21 at Manny's in New York.

Gear breakdown

Sting changed the tuning machines between May 3 and May 10, 1979.

Sting gave the original bass case to... in mid-1980, because of a broken lock.

For the 1980-1981 Zenyatta Mondatta Tour the bass was painted red.

It made another appearance for the 1987 Kirin Can Beer print ads and TV commercials.
