Andy Summers used this guitar in the promotional video for Can't Stand Losing You that was shot at London's Lyceum on 1979-06-17. The Police had received new instruments on 1979-06-15 and this guitar might have been one of those new instruments.
In Sounds from September 1, 1979 Andy explained that the guitar's pick-ups were incredibly microphonic. He gave the guitar to expert Roger Griffin to solve that problem.
