On the day of John F. Kennedy's assassination Sting listened to "I Wanna Be Your Man" - the 1963 Rolling Stones single.
He also watched the Dick van Dyke TV show on BBC. The show was interrupted by news about President Kennedy's assassination in Dallas. The tears of Sting's mother inspired him for the first lines of Born In The 50's.
