Biography
Dennis Smith set out to be a musician himself. But the sound of his demo recordings were so good that his engineering skilss were in higher demand.
Since 1984 Dennis Smith worked full-time with Andy Summers. The connection started when he was an assistant engineer for the Bewitched album. Since then he engineered and co-produced a large number of Andy's solo albums.
These days he runs Andy Summers' studio in Venice, CA, USA - also acting as tour manager for the jazz tours. During The Police's reunion tour he was Andy's technical assistant together with guitar tech Dan Deanley.
