After unsuccessfully trying to record Midnight Wire in May 1975 (RCA rejected the work), two new producers were contacted for another recording session in August 1975. According to Phil Kohn's blog they watched the band in Amsterdam and talked to Phil - telling him that everything about the first recording session sucked.
