In his book In The Pleasure Groove Duran Duran's John Taylor remembers this day. They watched a playback of Duran Duran's performance of "Ordinary World". He was about to tell Sting that he recorded one of The Police's earliest 1977 concerts, when Sting "I wish I'd written that song".
