He was interviewed there for VOX (April 1993) on 1993-02-01 - this article mentions this was "in the middle of a two week stay"...

Today Sting also appears on Top Of The Pops, singing If I Ever Lose My Faith In You (which might have been a pre-recorded show).

In his book In The Pleasure Groove Duran Duran's John Taylor remembers this day. They watched a playback of Duran Duran's performance of "Ordinary World". He was about to tell Sting that he recorded one of The Police's earliest 1977 concerts, when Sting "I wish I'd written that song".
