Sting recorded If You Love Somebody Set Them Free at this studio.
History
Guerilla Studios was a small 24/40 track recording and mixing studio in Little Venice, London.
At the time of Sting recording the Torch Song Mix of If You Love Somebody Set Them Free it featured Audio Kinetics Q. Lock system enabling synchronising the Olari tape machines (2", Vs" and W) to each other and also to a Fostex B16 16-lrack recorder and a Sony U-matic 5630 low band video recorder enabling up to 38 tracks of sound recording and mixing as well as audio syncing to film.
The console was a new customised Trident 808 with 60 EQ inclusive inputs on mix. There are also two Sony PCM digital 2-track systems and Nakamichi cassette decks.
Monitors were EV 500's, Yamaha NSIOM's, Visonic 6000's, Auratones and mono radio. A flexible SMPTE based console automation system was available as a low cost extra.
