Date: | 2023-11-09 |
Location: | North Shields, England, UK - The Exchange 1856 |
Attendees: | Sting, Brian Burdis, Paul Stonebanks, Dame Norma Redfearn, Jimmy Nail, Kathryn Tickell |
Sting was awarded the honour in 2010, but a busy touring schedule delayed him collecting it. During the ceremony he also performed a few songs at The Exchange 1856 in North Shields, England, UK.
Sting took the Metro from Newcastle's Central Station and almost got lost.
Sting mentioned: "Today I've got the train up from King's Cross, and then I got the Metro from Central Station to Tynemouth, where I went to see the Mouth of the Tyne and Lord Collingwood out there."
