As a child Daniel Hope lived in Yehudi Menuhin's house in London and was present when Sting went there to check it out (and eventually buy it) wearing his motorcycle helmet.
Daniel Hope met Stewart Copeland and Andy Summers on 2006-10-02 for a TV show called "Durch die Nacht mit Stewart Copeland" by European TV channel "arte". After jamming together in Stewart's home studio (Santa Monica) Stewart took Daniel to places in Santa Monica.
They also performed together on 2008-03-26 in Savannah.
Daniel Hope was a guest at a German talkshow with Sting on 2009-11-06.
In January 2013 Sting recorded vocals for The Secret Marriage which would feature on Daniel's album Escape To Paradise (The Hollywood Album).
Daniel visited Sting after a 2018 concert in San Francisco - probably 2018-10-26.
On 2022-12-11 his Christmas special Christmas@Home premiered online - it featured Sting performing two songs at Daniel's home.
