Trivia
Sting played Macheath in the 3 Penny Opera.
An article and an ad in Playbill (November 1989) mention that the 3 Penny Opera was performed eight times a week:
- Tuesday: 8:00pm
- Wednesday: 2:00pm and 8:00pm
- Thursday: 8:00pm
- Friday: 8:00pm
- Saturday: 2:00pm and 8:00pm
- Sunday: 3:00pm
(this doesn't quite fit with two performances which may have taken place on a Monday...)
tonight may have been the broadcast date for "Night Music" where a moustached Sting performed Ain't No Sunshine with David Sanborn and others
this might have been show no. 208 - maybe recorded on October 4, 1989 (as this was three weeks before an Eric Clapton performance (show no. 211) - IF this show was on TV weekly
