=About the song=
After his father bought a "The Brothers Of Barbados" record during a holiday in the Caribbean, producer [[David Wood]] asked [[Last Exit]] to record one of their songs and paid the band a session fee.
 
The song [[9th Avenue (Put On Your Wings And Fly)]] was recorded on [[1975-09-15]] or soon afterwards (note on 8 track tape).

As only 8 tracks could be recorded at [[Impulse Studios]] the two vocal takes were recorded on a separate reel and then transferred into a single channel. Drums, acoustic and electric guitar, electric piano, bass and vocals were mixed into a stereo track. Three additional saxophone parts were recorded later.
