"Goodbye Tomorrow" is a song written by Andy Summers and recorded by The Police in 1982 (probably).

About the song

This is practically an early version of Someone To Talk To. The music is (mostly) the same, but the lyrics are completely different.

The song is also sung by Andy Summers, but features high backing vocals probably done by Sting.

There's a (conventional) solo guitar right at the start, in the middle and at the end of the song. For Someone To Talk To the intro solo was omitted, the other guitars were replaced by quirkier ones. There's also no saxophone in this early version.

Only one that I can see
Is holding out the hand of love to me
Shall I wait for another day
See the strangers on their way

In and out of shadow land
Only you can understand
No one help me tear it down

Goodbye Tomorrow
(6x)

Put me by that womankind
Voices say that I must find
One who only walks at night
Only she can put you right

In and out of shadow land
Even though I understand
No one help me tear it down

Goodbye Tomorrow (6x)

Goodbye Tomorrow (6x)

Do I keep on running blind
Leave the one I love behind
Make tomorrow come to me
Bring me someone I can see

In and out of shadow land
Bring me love I understand
No one help me tear it down

Goodbye Tomorrow (13x)
