"Connecting Principle" is an instrumental written by Sting and recorded by The Police in December1982.

About the song

Sting recorded a demo at Utopia Studios on 1982-11-23. The Police recorded this mood piece on Montserrat, basically a few minutes of synth atmosphere, the occasional oboe and guitar synthesizer.

It was probably meant to connect Synchronicity I and Synchronicity II on the LP, but was eventually left off the record.
